2/11 (10am-11am) - Free Clinic: Your Beautiful Winter Garden
This free clinic will cover plants that provide winter color, ways to keep the winter garden happy and how to prepare for upcoming warmer months. Participants will be provided a quick guide and list of plants that provide beautiful form, texture and color during a gardens "off season" when many other plants are at rest.

Local horticulturist, Lois Walag, will demonstrate how to create a beautiful living wall of succulents in a wooden frame that you can hang, stand, or lay flat as a centerpiece. As living walls are a trend-hitting item in many gardens, this class is guaranteed to be filled quickly!

2/25 (10am-1pm) - "Home Sweet Home" Gourd Birdhouse
Make your very own birdhouse for garden or patio! Local artisan, Mary Moreau of Black Horse Creations will show you how to select the best gourd to attract local birdlife, demonstrate the process of drilling and cleaning and applying artistic finishes to please birds and people alike! Participants of this 3 hour class will go home with a one-of-a-kind hand-crafted, hand-painted birdhouse with gourd seed roof.

Ever wanted to get the low-down on wormcastings, root drenches, mineral fertilizer and mycorrhiza? This is your chance to find out how these essential below-the-soil products can get a garden growing with remarkable results. Join us as three experts (Andy Danneberger from Foxfarm, John Keeler from San Diego Mycorrhiza, and George Spoerri from Agrowinn) share their insights in three short presentations. Guests are welcome to bring questions and will go home with a goody-bag of samples and application guides.

Join us for this hands-on class that reveals the secrets to our fabulous succulent containers. We'll share general tips and techniques and demonstrate how to divide mature succulents for marvelous, mosaic-like results in container gardens. Participants will go home with a unique planted container they have styled themselves.

4/7 (10am-11am) - Free Clinic: Planting a Wildlife Habitat for Beasts and Birds
Want more birdsong in your life? This free clinic is a primer for those wanting to create a garden space that is animal and bird friendly. Participants will go home with a list of plants that are wildlife friendly and can be used as habitat, protection and food as well as tips in creating garden structures to attract all kinds of critters!

4/14 (10am-11:30pm) - Herb Container Garden for the Urban Farmer
There's nothing like fresh herbs from the garden—and a sprinkling of edible flowers on your salad! No matter how small your urban garden is, join us as we create container gardens to please the palate. This 90-minute class will cover aspects of growing, caring and harvesting your herb garden. Participants will plant and take home their own delicious container filled with favorite herbs and edible flowers.

4/15 (10am-12pm) - Succulent Wreath Workshop
By request of the participants of our succulent centerpiece class, Lois Walag will share her special skills in making beautiful succulent wreaths. Participants will be provided all materials and craft their very own 11" wreath with colorful succulent cuttings.
